Best Bits: Topman | Fashion

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great start to your week, what have you been up to?! For me, it has been non-stop working to gather up some more spends for my travels this summer which is why my post is a bit later than usual! For this weeks post, I have decided to start a series in which I will be talking about the best bits at global fashion retailers – Each week I will be asking you guys to choose between two potential fashion companies for me to review over on my Instagram, so be sure to follow me if you don’t already at @jamescscoffin!

As decided by you lovely lot, I will be talking about the best bits in Topman this season, and what I believe are the best pieces that they have to offer, and what pieces would make great outfits! I will be taking the price into account to come to a judgement about what I think are the best items in Topman! It may be worth mentioning that although these items are based in Topman branches throughout the UK, there are likely to be many similar styles that will equally suit my international readers!

So, to get the ball rolling, the first item I have chosen from Topman’s summer collection is this Blue Paisley Rose Shirt that can easily be dressed-up or dressed-down depending on the occasion – If you are going for an evening look, maybe button up the shirt all of the way and tuck into some black shorts accompanied with a belt! But, to keep the look casual, try wearing a white tee underneath the shirt instead. This shirt retails for £30 which some may find expensive, but for a unique design and style, I think it is definitely worth it!

Next, we have this Teal and White Striped Shirt which retails for the same price as the shirt previously, however, again, the bold design and bright colours make it a worthy piece for your summer wardrobe! It is also worth noting that in Topman these prices are around the average price that you would pay for similar shirts in store, so relative to the brand, the prices are not actually that extortionate! The colour of this shirt is what captured my attention, and with it being a best seller, it is clear that this shirt is what your wardrobe probably needs right now!

Moving onto accessories, these Black and Red Rounded Sunglasses seem like a must-have for your summer hols! Although it may be easiest to get the classic black sunglasses, many others end up having the same and makes the outfit a tad bit boring, so the red lens in these ones add something a bit new to your collection and ultimately, your look – These glasses are £14, which isn’t too bad for a mid-market brand!

In terms of t-shirts, this Striped Pique Tee is probably my favourite at Topman at the moment, just because of how simplistic it looks yet still adds something to your style and overall outfit. This one is £18, so a good £12 cheaper than the shirts, and still makes your outfit that tad bit different but also keeps a little bit of colour to keep the theme of summer!

Next, we have these Blue Ripped Denim Shorts that have been reduced from £32 to £25, so they are definitely worth checking out! This style of short is great at keeping your look casual, and would be ideal for any days out at your holiday destinations where you want to keep cool but still look stylish!

Finally, we have shoes, and my favourite on the Topman website at the minute are the weave loafers! All of the available colours are great, but these Tan Leather Weave Loafers definitely stood out to me due to how minimalist they look, and the actual texture of the shoe becomes the talking point! The weave in the shoe makes them really airy which is ideal when being in a hot, humid environment and will keep you feeling comfortable all day and night – Now, these are the most expensive item on the list, but shoes like this normally are due to being so in-trend and well sought after by us customers! They are £46 at the moment, but remember if you are in the UK you can benefit from student discount, and the quality of these shoes is something to be hyped up!

So, there we have it – these are the items in Topman that I think really stand out and would make excellent additions to your summer wardrobe, whether you are planning to stay around your home town or if you a planning a getaway in the sun!
